If your kids need a tutor and you don’t know where to turn, or you can’t afford to hire one…explore the help provided by Burbank Public Library for FREE with your library card: HelpNow powered by Brainfuse.

Burbank

Need some help with homework?
HelpNow, by Brainfuse

It’s like instant messaging with a fully qualified tutor–you sign in (you need a library card to access this service), you choose what grade (K-12 as well as adult learners) and what subject, and a message pops up in the box: “How can I help you today?” Share your math problem or your grammar question and get professional help from a Live-scanned, fully vetted, subject- and age-appropriate tutor. Live academic assistance is available seven days a week, from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

But that’s not all…

If you are weak in a subject, you can do skills-building sessions;

  • You can upload a paper to the Writing Lab and get constructive feedback within 24 hours;
  • You can create custom flash cards, or access flash card sets created by others;
  • You can get language support in Spanish;
  • You can prepare for the GED, as well as prep for citizenship in the Adult Learning Center.

To find HelpNow, go to our website (burbanklibrary.com) and click on “databases” at the right. Just one of the 100 reasons to visit your library! (online)

Happy studying!
