Brainfuse comes in 2 parts, HelpNow and JobNow, and has many exciting, useful features. HelpNow offers homework help for any grade and any subject, test prep help, and live online tutoring. JobNow has local and nation-wide job search engines, a resume builder, test prep help for career-related exams, and live, online job coaches to help with any part of the job searching process. Tutors and job coaches are available 7 days a week from 2 pm to 11 pm, central time. Brainfuse can be accessed in the library or at home with a valid FRVPLD card. A mobile app is available for Apple and Android devices.

Come learn more about Brainfuse at the classes we’re offering this fall. Beyond Homework Help: High School is on Tuesday, September 5th from 6 pm to 7 pm at the Dundee library and is geared towards parents of high school students (high schoolers are encouraged to attend too!). Beyond Homework Help: Elementary/Middle School is on Tuesday, September 12th from 6 pm to 7 pm at the Dundee library and is geared towards parents of elementary students and parents of middle school students.

Hoopla

Hoopla lets you stream movies and TV shows. It also has eAudiobooks, eBooks, eComics, and music. You can borrow up to 5 items per month and you get items instantly. No hold lists, no waiting! A mobile app is available for Apple, Android, and Amazon devices. If you use Hoopla through a web browser, you can stream titles but if you use the mobile app you have the option of downloading items to view them offline. The items have the following loan periods: movies and TV episodes are 3 days, music albums are 1 week, and eAudiobooks, eBooks, and eComics are 3 weeks. Once the load period is up, the item is automatically returned.

We’ll be having a few drop-in events where you can come in and learn all about Hoopla. Feel free to bring your own devices as well and we can help you get the Hoopla app and get all set up. We’ll be having 3 of these drop-in events: Saturday, September 16th from 1 pm to 5 pm; Saturday, October 21st from 1 pm to 5 pm; and Saturday, November 18th from 1 pm to 5 pm.

Pronunciator

Pronunciator is a language learning platform where you can choose from 80 different languages. Structured, eight-week courses are available, as well as open, more casual options – whichever works with how you learn best. There are also lessons and courses geared towards children. Pronunciator also has robust ESL content for 51 different languages that includes a U.S. Citizenship course. Learn language and culture through other fun, interesting means as well, including: images, videos, music, poetry and more. A mobile app is available for Apple, Android, and Amazon devices.

We have two Language Learning classes this fall where you can learn all about Pronunciator. One is on Tuesday, October 3rd from 6 pm to 7 pm at the Dundee library. The other is on Thursday, October 12th from 6 pm to 7 pm at the Randall Oaks library.
