Oak Park Public Library Offering Live Virtual Chess Tutoring
Expert chess tutors are now available Monday through Thursday.
With the explosion of interest in chess fueled by Netflix’s The Queen’s Gambit last fall, library resource BrainFuse HelpNow has responded by offering live chess tutoring with expert coaches.
Expert chess tutors are available Monday through Thursday from 3 to 9 pm CT. Tutors have certifiable qualifications such as high Elo ratings (2000+), chess coaching experience, and current or previous titles (for example, expert/candidate master).
BrainFuse HelpNow, which is committed to learning in many forms, has a roster of services that include live homework help, practice tests for college entrance exams, and expert writing help. The online resource is available with your library card. Access BrainFuse HelpNow »
Mr. Luis has been teaching chess at the library for years, including in the popular Chess Champs workshops for kids ages 5-13 years.

The ongoing Chess Champs workshop series is going strong and continues virtually!
