Teen services coordinator, Tamar Clarke, knows teens will find it useful. “What teen hasn’t been stuck at home with a pile of homework and needed some immediate help?” said Clarke. “And the tutors are available from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m. every night of the week.”
HelpNow™ provides a variety of learning solutions depending on your needs and background. Students communicate with live tutors to chat, write, draw, copy/paste text or images and graph homework problems. Both the student and the tutor can access quiz questions and do intensive test prep. All live sessions are saved and can be replayed as well as shared with friends and teachers by email. As a student, you can store and upload your work directly into HelpNow™ and receive feedback. All assistance conforms to Washington State standards.
“This is another great reason to make sure your teen has their library card,” said Clarke. “There’s even a language lab to help students with their Spanish classes.”
Two features of HelpNow™ – the Writing Lab and the 24/7 Center – are available at any time of the day to provide assistance without connecting with a live tutor. You can submit papers through the Writing Lab for detailed feedback on projects. Help with math, science and other assignments can be found using the 24/7 Center. Store reviews and comments from the tutors in the Message Center on your student homepage.
