Dedicated to the unique needs of an adult population, the Adult Learning Center offers a comprehensive and integrated suite of services, including the GED prep, 24/7 Writing Lab, Live Tutoring, Skills Building, Career Resources, U.S. Citizenship Prep, Microsoft Office Essential Skills Series, and 24/7 Question Center. Live tutors are available from 3-11 p.m. every day.
Need to learn some new software to get a promotion or a new job? The Lincolnwood Library has a subscription to Lynda.com on a dedicated computer which offers free access to video-based e-learning courses on:
- Adobe and Microsoft applications and technologies
- Web design
- Digital photography
- Video and Audio
- Mac applications
- Computer Programming
- Business Skills
Some classes are as short as 20 minutes, but the more technical ones can last over 12 hours. However, the classes are segmented allowing you to progress at your own speed. Stop in and learn a new skill!
