Hampstead Library News
AMPSTEAD — The Hampstead Public Library is pleased to offer a new online educational resource for its cardholders. Brainfuse HelpNow is unique tutoring, homework help, and studying suite designed to assist patrons of all ages to succeed. In addition to live tutoring, students in kindergarten through college can access a writing lab, skill-building tools, “send question” services, collaborative learning, and academic and standardized test prep.
With Brainfuse, adults have career resources, resume writing assistance, Microsoft Office help, live tutoring, and more.
Other cool HelpNow tools are FlashBulb™ to create and share flashcards, eParachute where you can discover the college majors and careers that match your skills and interests, and FAFSA Live Help filling out your application.
Library cardholders can access all this by computer, tablet, or smartphone. Look for Brainfuse in both the Learn and Research (eResource) sections of HampsteadLibrary.org, or ask a librarian.
The Library is closed in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Mon., January 18. There is no Curbside Pickup or virtual assistance from staff that day. However, online resources are available 24/7, including downloadable ebooks, audiobooks, music, TV shows, and movies. Plus, cardholders have online access to educational classes, Consumer Reports, newspapers, and more. Visit HampsteadLibrary.org.
Adults have a Bob Ross Painting Takeaway kit available starting Tuesday, January 19. Find it at the Curbside Pickup table, while supplies last. These kits include an easy paint-with-water page, tips & tricks information, a paintbrush, plus suggestions for mellow mocktails and music. Paint your way into a mellow mood with Bob Ross.
The January Teen Takeaway for Middle School and High School students is Bullet Journals. Advance registration is required via the Events Calendar on the Library website. Pick up your journal starting on Wednesday, January 20 via Curbside Pickup. Start using the journal right away, or join the Zoom meeting on January 27 to get ideas for how to make your journal uniquely yours. More information is on HampsteadLibrary.org.
