Libraries are integral part of US communities

Libraries across the country are making a difference in people’s lives by providing electronic learning resources like online homework help and WiFi access for students and workers who may lack internet access at home. DCDL introduced our Student Learning Resources website and Brainfuse online tutoring center last year, as well as expanded our wireless signal reaches into our parking lots and beyond for local devices to connect to high-speed internet for free.

Brainfuse HelpNow | Ames Free Library

Offers on-demand, personalized homework help for all levels in core subjects (math, reading, writing, science, and social studies) including SAT preparation. Students communicate with live, online tutors using an interactive, virtual whiteboard to chat, write, draw, copy/paste text or images, and graph homework problems. HelpNow

Library recently awarded CARES grant

The Brownwood Public Library was recently awarded a CARES grant, made possible through funding to Institute of Museum and Library Services as administered by the Texas State Library and Archives Commission. The grant allows the library to support the Brown County community as we recover

Elize Aunahn Memorial Brainfuse Scholarship 2021 Winners

Elize Aunahn, Vice President of Operations and Academics with Brainfuse for approximately twenty years, passed away on June 16, 2020. To honor her legacy and commitment to enhancing educational opportunities for deserving students, Brainfuse has established a scholarship fund in her name.
